We do frequent water changes and use Aquasafe and Stresscoat. We do at least a 20% (we try for 50 - 70 when we have more energy) water change at least weekly. I have an aquatech 30 - 60 and a whisper 30 at each end of the tank. We clean filter cartridges weekly as well. It seems we live to clean the aquariums. If I may ask, which storm did the damage? In 04 Charlie did the most damage here. We didn't keep fish then, thank God. It would have been a nightmare... Come visit me, Temple of Doom.

That is awesome. Our bristlenose pleco produces alot of waste too. She waaay outproduces all of the other fish in waste. She has been known to chase the other fish away from food, even the larger ones. She is queen of the tank. Fortunately she hasn't eaten any fish yet. We try to convince them they taste terrible... haha. Our pictus catfish was known to eat zebra danios in the tank with him. He had to be kept alone in his own tank for that reason. Do you keep any outside ponds for your native fish? Come visit me, Temple of Doom.

RE:Hey and Really Cool "HEY and Really Cool. That is cool. What kind of tank is that? How does a 30 gallon bio filter keep it clean? How long have you had it and what kind of koi are in it? You should take some pictures of the koi. Keep up the good work!" Its a pond that my dad and i built...the bio filter is basically 30 gallons worth of bio-balls...ive had it for about 3 years now...for the first 2 it was a saltwater pond...all sorts of koi...i bought a wide variety could you drop me a vote thanksCome visit me, Logan, reefdude, asdfasdfa & gameman.

Hi Cool aquarium. Is your bass wild-caught? My son has a native fish tank with pygmy live-bearers and pygmy sun-fish. Also native plants from our local river. Here's a vote for your tank.Come visit me, Temple of Doom.
