how was your first day?
even though it's homeschool, it's still school. I know, I did both my sons for a few years, now my son is happy to be 18 and out of school with a job, and my stepson is looking forward to turning 18 in a few months, he too has to get a job hehe. We are all really looking forward to going to school together full time next fall, though, they are taking trade school stuff, I'll be playing around in the arts for a degree or 3 just cuz I always wanted to. Nice to be OLD and not HAVE to take things, can just pick what you WANT hehe. Oh, my black molly female surprised me with about a dozen babies, and she still looks hecka fat...hope something will eat most of them as that seems like a lot of mollies for a 20 gallon hehe.Come visit me, SpazSewer, SpazBees, Gobi-Wan Kenobi & K-Spaz.

it's been awfully quiet w/o you. Sure hope this means you are having a super awesome summer. My gang is looking forward to college/work etc. Me too. Well, except the work part. Lucky I get to manage myself and not have to leave the house hehe. It was only 60 in the house this morning! I had to close all windows and am enjoying some hot tea and oatmeal. Well, that's my normal breakfast anyway but it's rare I NEED it in August! Too bad we are going to be hitting near 100 all week. enjoying your summer?
it's been rather quiet and boring w/o your updates. Hope you're having lots of fun! So far mine has been pretty good, got lots of work done, have lots more to do, doing lots of fun stuff too so it's all balanced nicely. Fins are healthy, pets are too. like the new pics
or has it been so long since I've looked that they're all like new again? hehe. Had a very peaceful 4th and am happy to be the only one home today so more peace for me! 450 points, wow. Not much to do but keep plugging away I guess until you get more. I got the penguin filter awhile back, and the box of extra filters for it, but when I went to get another box of filters, it says item no longer available. grrr. But my brackish tank is happy to have a better filter on it so I'll suffer through and buy them when I need them hehe. My new mollies are doing really well so far. I know it's only been a few days but that they're still alive is pretty nice hehe. Guess I had better quit putting off mopping and getting it done so I can go enjoy finishing up a paint project. so sorry to hear about your points :{ I have redeemed almost 500,000k so far...lucky enough I haven't lost any. But I did on DC cuz I really don't hit it much. That whole 3rd person blogging thing is tough for me! How goes your summer so far? Ours has been super productive, getting lots of yard changes done, been working on paint projects and this month I have 2 art classes, woohoo! One is a watercolor class every Weds nite I'm taking with my daughter and one more fused glass bowl class, that I'm taking with a friend. That one is just another one day deal but my dad has mentioned he's willing to get me a kiln of my own this winter. That would be really cool of him. I start my other art classes the end of Aug, those I'm really looking forward to as well. It's nice when you're old like me and can take things you really want! battle of the sexes
fins are funny folk, for sure. So far all is well in my fishy worlds, did a decent water change a few days ago, have to get filters done today and no losses or illnesses to be found. Knock wood...Having a grand sort of morning, peaceful and just plotting out things and stuff. We've been working on the backyard area and after taking out tons of old railroad ties and plants, seems like once we get it all done we're going to have lots of room to do with as we choose. Nice. A hot tub is in definite order in the next few years along with a big, deep pond with a waterfall feature of some sort. Next summer should be able to start the groundwork and serious plans for that. WooHoo! So far have several types of bulbs popping up that I hope will be worth keeping (though transplanted, they are in the most useless of places!), and some serious tree trimming is in order as well as a few that have to go. We are sad that the apple tree won't make it, it had tasty apples when we bought the place but, years of neglect and poor trimming habits have made it unstable. told boys we'll just get another one and plant it in a better area more away from the fence. Happy Easter!
I hope you had a very beautiful Easter day today sharing the happiness with those you love. The dogs are getting delicious tidbits. It's the first time for Melian and Kermit (our dogs) and I think they think they're in Heaven.
I didn't know it was supposed to snow though. I thought that was for Christmas. I guess things have changed. Christmas is supposed to be warm and sunny, Easter is cold and snowy. We're supposed to have even more heavy snowfall tonight.

how was your april fool?
did you get to pull off any good pranks? We of course, didn't even remember too, had so much other fun stuff going on that for a change there wasn't any super tricks done. We're hoping to do better next year though. Been enjoying my week and the weekend looks to be rather pleasant too. Projects are getting done, kids are healthy, pets are too and we've had a most fun time all of us just goofing off for the most part. happy weekend!
hope yours is going the way you want it, so far so good in my world. I got some new fins for the 55 and so far, they are all alive. Got some neons tetras, glowlight tetras, a few more of those cutie and colorful sunset dwarf platys and a bunch of ghost shrimp for the puffer/loach. in a few weeks I'll add more harlequin rasboras as they are a fave of mine, swimming around looking like t-bone steaks hehe. going to be remodeling the boys' gecko tank too as, well, it's just not aesthetically pleasing and I can't take it anymore! Besides, it needs a background and better cave work for the poor thing! I gave them my 40 as it's been empty for prolly 8-10 years and I just dont' think it'll hold water anymore, don't want to take that chance. Besides, knowing that the day will come and a 120 will be mine, didn't feel the need to sink money into the 40. It has no lid, etc etc and truly the money to make it right could be better spent on something bigger and still have money left over for cool fins. Thanks for the VOTES!!! To answer your question??? You could try Burundi or Fairy cichlids, they don't get big or destroy setup either. In fact they are very attractive. They're sort of on the pricey range. They are worth it. Or Yellow Labs!!! Basically, with small setups, your choices are limited. Greetings oh wise quiz master!! How many do you have to do to get that? I used to be faithful about it but that's kind of dropped to the wayside too. I've become a rotten correspondant but I have all good intentions of improving. A very happy valentine's day to you and your loved ones. After telling each other we'd save our money and not trade gifts, Jack gave me an ipod nano with the car player adapter! I had nothing for him so I'll have to get him when he least expects it. I've spent the bulk of the day familiarizing myself with it. Pretty neat contraption! It has a camera and can do video's too. Not much new in the fish world. We're making some salt water which is a pretty long process. Then more water changes in a day or two after it mixes. VD vote!Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

hehehe. And you're right, it is a pretty ribbon ;-] Sooo, been super busy lately, but by Sunday my life will have calmed down and bf took Mon-Tues off so we will have some extra days to sleep in. Well, we like to wish we could sleep in but that rarely happens. Why is it you can oversleep for school/work but can jump out of bed like a crazed rabbit on days you could?! Lately I've been getting up at 3, 4 or 5 and just tackling housework, goofing on the 'net, reading, etc etc and really, these are all things that can be done during normal business hours! Jeesh! At least this afternoon isn't so bad, I'm taking a break from all kinds of stuff to just enjoy the rainy weather and play some computer games (I'm hooked on a game that's similar to Yahtzee but with colored numbers etc and well, I have yet to break 500 and it's making me frustrated HAHA!)
