haha, very funny, Mo digging a hole in the middle of her nap grass...HAHAHA, actually it would almost be funny but she'd better not! Poor Sir Rufus, not easy going to the vet when you're so sick. Mo isn't going to be very happy on Tues when she goes in for another leave her there all day test fest. We just had a nice walk around the neighborhood and sniffed all the sniffs. My arm is super sore and angry today. Yesterday I spent a lot of the day just reading in bed with kitties, but didn't brace it or ice it and had some things to do that apparently were not meant to be done with that arm so today I'm paying the price. It was worth it though. Now I have both braces on, and it's on ice, aaaahhhh. Looking forward to this weekend, always enjoy a long weekend with bf home and we're to work on hunny-do chores so that will be fun, along with grass for the Mo. She's gonna be so happy. Well, there's my boring life. I'm also having a slow day today too, just need to grab a few groceries, make Mo's homemade food and figure out lunch and dinner. My son is still home with his hurt foot but it's getting better. Not sure I told you a bone chip moved from a previous injury into a nasty spot and he has been home for 3 days now! Poor kid! We are a house of gimpy wimpy pitiful fools lately! Jeesh! Hugs to all, special hugs for magic man and wishing you a wonderful weekend.

been super busy, won't bore you with the details. it's chilly and breezy here, wish it was raining. sinuses are not happy at all lately, sniffle ugh. head feels like it's stuffed with cotton. need to find a new and improved allergy med this week. My arm is a bit angry with me too, but things have to be done and the weather isn't helping either. ugh. But, lots of things are popping up around here, nice to see color again. We're going to put in a bit of grass for Mo to have to herself so she won't lay in the dirt. She likes grass and we had a test patch when we first moved in but Stanley was soooo stupid and once he started using it for a toilet, she no longer had the patch and boy, was she mad at him! hehe. So, now we can do a spot all for her. Loki is hilarious still, and quite smart. Did I tell you I got him a laser pointer last week? Well, he loved it until he realized it came from the thing in my hand...so now he tries to attack me instead of following the red dot...clever kitty. Hugs to all and hope you are enjoying your day!

SuperK's new clothes hehe. Yup, I hear you on the too hot thing, it's already hitting 80's here and I HATE it. Got cold sores, face is a bit burnt in spite of sun block face stuff plus sun block in the concealer plus had a baseball hat on plus an umbrella and having the sun behind me at the track meet yesterday. I think besides the bit of sun I got from being in the car and outside that I also got some windburn. My skin is so very sensitive, it's tough in this climate to keep it from being a dry mask most days. UGH. Loki goes to the free vet appt this morning and I'm going to have them clip his claws too. After I get him home, Mo will go to the bath place and we'll get her nice and clean so she can lay in the dirt hehe, then take her home and then go grocery shopping and prolly 99cent store for some bamboo thingies I scored the other day that are working perfect for keeping Mo out of flower beds. My SIL is coming over this afternoon and will stay for dinner. We are going to repot some plants and catch up on news. I'm off from my dad today and tomorrow, really looking forward to my massage on Thurs. My arm is doing better, but I've still got a good 3-4 weeks before it's any real use again. I just really miss playing Wii! Hopefully next week it will be good enough to play, if I don't marathon it hehe. Friday with my dad will be fun, going to Lowe's for some things he and I both need and he's buying. Thurs night I have a do it herself class at the Home Depot so that's always fun, informative and get to score freebies too. Think on Thurs I'll pack up Mo for a river walk, she can chase geese. Well, guess I should get shoes on and dishes done so I can prepare for the day. At least my hair is up and my clothes are on! Unlike some people I know HAHAHA. Hugs to you and Magic Man.

My day was very busy and hectic but not too bad over all. My future DIL cleaned the kitchen! and her and stepson brought me my fave iced chai drink from a local shop, my sister brought me, mom, neighbor lady and SIL a bouquet of nice mixed flowers, and over all it was a fun day. Pigged out on grilled chicken in a marinade I made up on the fly, tater salad with shallot and celery, and lots of good sweet corn. and my SIL made one of her famous cheesecakes, so we all pigged out nicely. Best part is there's more than enough leftovers so I won't have to deal with dinner. Got a busy day today, but planning on taking the next 3 off. My arm is doing a bit better, YAY, and hopefully can get it even happier this week. My Thurs massage should really help with that. And my neck...ahhhh, I'm so looking forward to it. Well, need to get this day going. Glad your's was a nice one. I've been on a mac-n-cheese kick lately, though I make horrible homemade so have been indulging in stouffers. Yea, I know not the best but no one else here really eats it so it's hard to make it for one person anyway. Hugs to you and Magic Man!

I did some weeding Friday morning, have many more to go but at least it's not so bad. Going to have 15 for Sunday dinner, my mom is pretty excited as all us kids and all grandkids will be here, she doesn't get to see us all very often. Will have to help my dad in the morning, and visit stepmom in the home for a bit, then back home to start the grills and get cob corn ready. I got some bamboo arches to try to make some barriers so Mo will stay out of some of the flower beds. She now has a Mayan temple where I had red poppy seeds...well, they'll either pop up or they won't and I'll find something else to go there. Most likely put the acidantherus there since they don't like much wind anyway and won't get much later afternoon sun. My arm is on the mend finally. Tired of being in pain my friend, it's getting more than annoying! Mo is doing so much better. Did I tell you she lost a few more lbs, down to 123 now! YAY! I want about 10 more off of her, then her thyroid and diabetes should be more stable plus she'll be a lot happier. Since she's lost this weight she doesn't gimp with her shoulder any more either! We are so happy and so is she. Loki got to spend the whole afternoon out back on a rope, he loved it and made a nest in a bunch of leaves and bf says looked like he was warming eggs for over an hour hehe. He was quite cute in a flower bed, but of course he moved a bit for each shot. I'll send pics in a bit so you can see. He's sure growing. He finally get to see the vet on Weds, had to keep rescheduling his. It's not at my regular vet, I won a free check up for him at the new PetSmart Banfield clinic. Figure while I'm there I'll get those nasty sharp nails clipped too. he's a bit aggressive at times still, but he is only 10mos old and since he's a boy, he's more like 6 hehe. My weeds are getting out of control and they aren't pretty ones. I figure this Saturday I'll be out there making them go away. Woke up to a nice wet world, and we may get more rain today, but then tomorrow it's to get sunny and into the 80's for the next week...ugh. Anything over 80 is just not necessary in my book hehe. Well, my bff is coming to take me for a manicure and perhaps a massage if they can fit us in. I am super blessed to have such awesome friends. At least the manicure will help relax me so I can sleep away the afternoon or at least want to just laze about. I'm so bored! I'm 1/3 into the 4th season of Fringe, not sure what I'll pollute my brain with after this series is done. Guess I should look to see if any of my other shows have a new season available. Well, hugs to all. Oh, and yes, Mo loves her walks and I might take her to a park later today that I'll have to drive to, but it's not that far away, just the other side of the neighborhood, about a 5min drive. I have weeds to pull myself as soon as I can. It's raining nicely here, and everything is delightfully damp and wonderful. I'll be going back to bed. Mo wanted to start the day at 6am so her and Loki conspired to annoy me. Lucky for them I love them so or I'd be making new slippers about now hehe. Mo is doing better, though she's still a bit too thirsty, but that's all part of her new found illness. I'm staying home today, getting rest and being lazy is my agenda. I need it. Especially since I haven't had a decent nights sleep in weeks, I'm about done in! Yup, Goodreads is a lot of fun and I'm enjoying finding new authors as well as so many books! This is why I want to be an immortal, spend my life reading away! Well, and gardening hehe. Hope you are having a very nice day, and get well soon wishes for snl. Must be something in the air. On April 19th, we almost lost The Mo! She was in diabetic ketoacidosis, had a sinus infection and tested positive for some staph cells to accompany her bladder infection. Wow, was is scary. So Mo got to take 2 heavy duty antibio's, is on insulin 2x a day, and is finally feeling better. Very scary time the past few weeks. Whew. Today she actually played at the park with some other dogs for the first time in many months! YAY. She is off the antibio's as of today and is on a new diet too. I make most of her food now to add to her dry food and she gets 4-6 small meals a day, though breakfast and dinner are a bit larger. She's loving that. so my free dream dog is now the most expensive dog I've ever had. But the best news was WalMart has her insulin for just under 25 bucks a bottle, which is a lot nicer than the 110 a bottle the vet charged. Plus I can get her thyroid meds for 4 bucks a month too, YAY. I still don't like them much, but their Rx is unbeatable around here and I can't afford to be too picky hehe. so sorry to hear about Sir Rufus, poor baby! I felt like the worst pet owner in the world when we had to rush Mo to the vet, as she'd been a bit off since Easter. I've been so overwhelmed with parentals that everything in my life got neglected, including my loved ones, fur and flesh. my elbow is still in bad shape, my knee is hateful too, my neck really isn't happy with anything but on the plus side, things are getting better all around. Loki is still HILARIOUS and I'm hoping to get some video of him out soon. The Goose is doing fine, but she's really showing her age. She's going to be 19 in August! My stepmom is doing better but is a long way from being ready to come home. My dad is about to go on a waiting list for a kidney and a pancreas, so the 2 of them take a lot of my time, plus my awesome neighbors needed my help the past 10 days, he had major knee surgery and a lot of appts right after but on Friday he got cleared to drive so they are no longer needing me to be their chauffer, boy is he happy. I need to take time off from driving, my bf and bff are both not happy I'm not healing as I should with my elbow and knee. Sunday I'll be staying home, and most likely Monday too. Ice packs are my new best friends and stinky lineaments too hehe. Mo is now down to 125, which has been super as she was 147 in Nov. She doesn't gimp much anymore with her shoulder with the weight loss so that's a fantastic bonus. She's happy, we're happy, cats are brats, fish are ok...I did lose a clown pleco today, hopefully can do massive water changes on Sunday. Well, May the Fourth Be With You, and sure hope your day was a good one and that pup is feeling better. Glad he can get some meds to keep him going! HUGS to you ALL!

Happy Easter!
I'll be boiling eggs soon for deviled ones, got the turkey prepped, and will be heading out in a bit to take my dad to PetSmart, then to get some flowers for stepmom and a quick visit to her and then home to get busy and prepare for lots of company. I'd rather play my game all day. It's raining, as in it's really raining! And the sky is dark and delightful! Ahhh, my kind of day! Loki is a sweetie this morning. Plays hard, then cuddles, then back and forth again. Right now he's enjoying chasing a toy, as usual. This kitty LOVES to play with toys, like no other cat I've known. We think he's got an imagination like Calvin and Hobbes, and we know he plays 'the floor is lava' and he's just more entertaining than tv. My family room looks like a preschool! Spoiled pets. Loki's foot is doing a lot better and he's making up for lost time. He did a spectacular display of stupid this morning, running, running, jumped up cat tree then jumped onto Mo's butt and she came up like a black bear out of hibernation and he just stood about 2 feet from her looking at her like "what, you don't think I did that do you?" and well, it was HILARIOUS even if Mo doesn't think so hehe. He is so full of it, let me assure! I was supposed to have a full day with my dad, but he's sleeping and so I'm not answering the phone today, did some shopping, walked Mo, some yard work, getting ready to enjoy some lunch and play more TombRaider, then will head out to plant some iris I got from my SIL Weds, and plant some lilies in a pot she gave me a few weeks ago as well. They are still in the package in the garage so I'm sure by now they are more than ready to be potted. The iris are some the mom of a neighbor of my mom's gave her and they had more than enough for her place so I got about 5, we're all wondering what they'll look like! I love surprises! And I'm sure enjoying this lovely day. It's still a bit chilly but quite nice out and we might get some rains, though I figure I'll have to wash my Jeep first before we get any real rain hehe. My day off was mixed today. Internet was down all day, from sunup to sundown. grrr. But, got a lot of chores done, even some outside ones. Played a lot of TombRaider, got eaten by a TRex and laughed my self sillier hehe. And rumor has it SIL will be dealing with dear old dad on Thurs so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope so. Have a screaming headache, we're having some winds and a rain storm should be blowing in for the next several days and well, ouch, my head! My MA is doing pretty good actually, and stepmom is well, she's whatever. Loki's foot is getting better and better every day. Poor little pink pads on that foot look quite tender but he's doing fine in spite of them. Wonder if they'll go back to black, that would be rather sweet, having one foot with pink and black pads. Mo is doing fine, and The Goose is still a B, um brat hehe. Well, you're about to have a good time away from home soon, good for you! My b-day is Sat, so we're most likely going to feed a crowd and do an Easter combo Sunday dinner. I just hope it rains all day Sat and would prefer it to for the next 5 days actually but that's so very rare around here. Well, gotta run, game is calling and meds are kicking in, wooHOO gonna have fun playing now for sure HAHA. HUGS!

So, the wind is blowing like crazy so of course, chicken little me can't sleep cuz well, clowns will eat me HAHAHA. Actually I've never been able to sleep when the winds are howling, I'm really that big a chicken of scary noises in the dark. Mo isn't either hehe, bf laughs at both of us. Speaking of laughable pets. My bf has been down with a tummy virus the past few days, so last night while he was worshiping our lovely commode, Loki climbed up his back, put a paw on his bald head and the other 3 on his shoulder and looked into his eyes...my son says he was just saying 'there there dad, we'll get through this' but my bf says it was more like Loki's nose had to be in his business and sort of a "Wow, mom feeds us much better than she feeds YOU" HAHAHA! And poor Loki is a bit more injured than previously thought, he's caused a little bit of bleeding where there was a blister on a pad, but it's looking fine and he's pretty good at keeping the paw stuff on it that I got. It's all natural and so if he licks it off, it'll most likely keep him from having a hair ball too hehe. I get the PawBox monthly surprise that I scored through CouPaw, and so we get some interesting things plus whatever Mo won't like goes to either my neighbor, my stepson's dog or perhaps someday my sister and it's just fun. Loki LOVES when it arrives cuz mister nosy likes surprises too hehe. Yup, I've had some interesting burns. My steam burn from a month or so ago still shows a bit of pink on my hand. Believe me, don't think that will ever happen again. And welding, fused glass, being a bit of a pyro all my life and growing up with wood stoves and lots of cooking, yes, lots of interesting scars. Loved my circular one I had as a kid too hehe. Well, guess that's it. Sure enjoyed the funny you sent and serendipitously enough, my son was saying that exact same thing a few hours before I got your email so he really chuckled when I showed him it must be something in the air with us! Happy St. Pat's
the show was pretty fun, and then I ended up sleeping most of Saturday away. I did finish 2 books I was working on, then completely finished a 3rd one, so that was nice. Of course, had to get up this morning and do kitchen detail that was all piled up since Fri...I hate kitchen chores as it never ever ends, it's all the time. Our temps got chilly again but it's still clear. Only to hit the low 60's today. Either be cold or be nasty, this in between mild is just not making me happy! hehe. My SIL wants to come over and help me do some yard chores later today, but I'm not sure I'm up for it today. Still pretty sore and groggy from just doing way too much lately. Feels good to be lazy, just wish it was raining too as then it would be a perfect day. Well, almost perfect. Have to take my dad to see the stepmonster, but SIL says she might be able to pick him up cuz I can't sit there and wait, it's Sunday family dinner day and I still need to figure out food. though, kids might not come so it could be a very quiet afternoon but still have to plan food for all of us here. ugh. sounds like work hehe. Well, that's about it for now, hugs!

so the weather is really 'nice'. which means I hate it hehe. Yup, in the 70's the rest of the week, no storms or chance of anything. I'll be getting out hoses and watering to add to my growing list of things I need to do around my home. I'm about done in taking care of others right now, but at least I'm needed! Got Mo's new shampoo and conditioner a day early so she'll be getting her bath this week. She thinks she doesn't like them but she can sure strut about when it's all done and she gets that extra attention for being so shiny and clean. And smelling good. Loki is a hoot but he got into trouble with me a few days ago. He was asleep in my arms and I don't know if he heard something I didn't or if he just had a bad dream but he woke up all claws and fangs and clawed into my nose, OUCH, and well, he scared us both and ended up on the floor quicker than he could blink. After he realized the bridge of my nose was bleeding, he sure became a humble feller, and has been trying to make up for it since. it's not a big scratch or anything, it was just on the super thin skin bridge part and his claw went through so it's just 2 little pokes but wow, did it bleed. Well, since I'm a bleeder and running really anemic lately, no wonder! Been drinking OJ and eating lots of dark greens and red meat, that's helped a lot. Can't take iron pills, none of them, they kill my stomach. ugh. such a baby am I, jeesh hehe. So, not much else to tell. Looking forward to the weekend as I plan on relaxing and not answering the phone. My Sunday that I was going to relax turned into a laundry fest and dishes day, but it was nice to get that caught up. This place is in dire need of spring cleaning so will be tackling that with gusto so that I can enjoy the weekend with no lingering chores, ice packs and video games. Yup, I'm gonna need it by then! Our 'storm' lasted about as long as it took me to finish some blogs, make a quick phone call to change an appt and then POOF, it was gone! The mtns got hammered heavily though which is great. It's cloudy but not too chilly this morning, and we have 'chance of snow' which I'm hoping will become reality after I pick up the kid. I'll take Mo along and we will go to a place that she can run off leash and chase bunnies. Lots of desert all around and lots of fun places to let dogs be a bit wild for a good run. Or in Mo's case a good gallop hehe. Miss Waddles doesn't really run much, never did, but boy can she trot and gallop hehehe. I like never having to bend down to pet her, my little MoBearPig hehe. Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better today over all, hopefully my dad won't need anything as I'm not in the mood to shop or drive very far. My stepmom isn't doing so good, got some heart failure to add to her growing list of body parts failing. Of course, she was doing better but refused to do anything for herself and just whined for more pain meds all the time, guess she's where she wants to be. She's an 80yr old major alcoholic and a prescription pill popper for most of her life so I'm not surprised everything is shutting down. Still never understood why my dad married her. And they've only been together about a year longer than bf and I, so about 8 yrs is all. As she's my 4th stepmom, I'm pretty sure I'll have a 5th if she decided to just pass on. Told my dad us kids will be picking out his next wife cuz we've had enough of his bad choices. He agreed hehe. Games, I'm still on Zelda WindWaker, of course this is my 2nd play through, technically my 2.75 cuz I deleted my first file so I could do some things I did wrong. I'll be playing a 3rd time through, need to finish taking 'picture' for the 'nintendo gallery' side quest they have cuz that's why I play Zelda games, the side quests are my favorite and getting all the items maxed out etc etc. Yea, I'm a super geek...Hope you get some good rains and cool weather that you love, and I'm hoping the same for me. Not sure if it's no rest for the wicked, or if sleep is for whimps, I'll let you know when I decide. wow, my dad is a lot of work. I'm blessed to have this amazing SIL who is a huge help though, and she's had to deal with him during my illness and is now about done in. Poor thing, but she says she'll keep helping cuz she loves me and saw why I got so sick and was wiped out for a week. I'm now coming down with laryngitis which is not my fave but makes the family laugh at me. You know what they say, if you can't laugh at yourself, laugh at me laughing at you so they are having fun turning my own phrase against me hehe. SIL and I worked out that I don't do Weds, at all, or Sundays. And Sats by strict appt only which means once in awhile. I about had a nervous breakdown which is why I know I got so stupidly sick. I have had those before, this whole brain on overdrive, well, it can really drive fast hehe. But my kids and bf are super great and I can rest as I need. Well, except that whole not sleeping lately thing, wow, I hope tonight to enjoy comaREM as they call it when nothing can wake me up. Haven't had that in way too many months, I'm overdo for sure. I'm hoping our 'storm' warning we are having does more than just blow things around us, we all are really wanting rains. good rains, not that drizzly dampness that isn't very sufficient. I ordered Mo's shampoo, conditioner and a spray today, along with some super awesome treats to help her with the whole 'I can't believe you bathed me' pout she gets hehe. I figure if I add some ginormous treats, she'll be more than happy to get in that tub and stop trying to climb under my shirt when I soap her up! it's funny but she's HUGE and it's really hard work! At least when she's wet when I give her a smack on the tuckus, it sounds like it's a real slap, but alas, there is not much that can hurt the Mo and I myself would never hit her to hurt, EVER! Bf says it's not even considered a hit thing, more of a guidance with firm hand, cuz well, big dogs are not like little ones, you have to sometimes be really firm and make them understand you are in charge. I couldn't imagine having her think she was the boss of this house, I like her being the biggest baby! But yea, sometimes she has to have a quick reminder cuz she is way too smart. Smarter than a 5th grader hehe. Well, that I don't use a 'training' i.e. choker on her, good grief, she'd probably think I was mad at her all the time. She is actually really great, and walking her is super easy, except those unexpected stops when she all of a sudden finds an interesting 'text msg' to read on a bush or fence post hehehe. Ok, luv and hugs and I'm off to ice the neck and play some Zelda. Told that to oceanview already yet here I am babbling nonsense to you, jeesh, talk about overdrive!

snort out some tea, HAHAHA, pinata's...I second that! hehe. My soup was a bit of a fail. I simmered it from 9am until dinner at 6pm and that chicken meat was still tough! I'll never buy such big ones again, think they were way too full of bad chemicals/hormones cuz after having it my face got really hot and red too, had to spritz with toner a few times and take antihistamine, ugh! I thought it was from a source I could trust but alas, they let me down! It's drizzly here today, the ground is nicely damp and I'm hoping hoping hoping for a good rain storm. Gonna roast a smallish turkey today, it's only like 12lbs and I know isn't full of chemicals to cause facial disruption hehe. Loki is quite full of it this morning, he's driving all of us nuts. We think he was only 4 mos old when we got him, not 6, cuz he's really grown a lot and is still so very baby. Think he's only about 6mos old now. He's funny but yea, he's baby boy and can really wreak the havoc hehe. I love it though! We sure love him, he's quite entertaining if annoying. I got an interesting new blogger on Gobi-Wan's page, they were commenting on my fish choices living together but they didn't read what I have in the tank as they gave a different taxonomic name for my Fig8, they thought he was a Red eye puffer. If only they had read my profile before choosing to question my choices. But N00Bs are at least folk trying to learn, and the more they learn, the better for the fish keeping industry. I can hardly believe Magic Man is 12! WOW! Almost a teenager! Soon he'll be asking for the car keys hehe. Well, I'm off to figure out some breakfast, get the turkey started and then play some Zelda. I'm on a lame quest that keeps me busy, I'll have to clear it out again and then go in from the restart to finish it though, I once again missed some things cuz well, that's my style I guess hehe. HUGS! Oh, and remember I told you about the store where I got those stained glass panels? They closed! She moved out of state and left a mess and well, it's gone! It was a fave amongst us lovers of thrift stores, we used to plan gal pal days and started there! Sad.

How exciting, a trip back to NY! Wow, what a fun life you have with travel! I'm enjoying armchair traveling with books and Zelda, as I'm still pretty dern sick. My left tonsil swelled up last night and now it's annoying, and the cough won't leave me alone.Cold sores are getting better though, and the sinuses are still not very annoying so there's the plus side of things hehe. Mo does like to cuddle, and so you have to be ready for it cuz well, she's a BIG girl and thinks she's a lap dog. I chose my time on the couch carefully as that usually signals a Mo time hehe. So, vacuuming the family room was a lot of work, wow, I HATE being sick! Whew! Guess that's about it for now, need to finish some chores and then make pancakes. Then I can relax a bit. My SIL has been great taking on my dad the past week. I think it's part of why I got so sick, dealing with him, being in and out of the hospital where people are SICK and then the stress of it all. Yup, I blame him hehe. HUGS to you both and yes, I'll get that surprise box out to you eventually! I cannot believe how flaky I've been about it, seems like time just flies or I get lost in busyland and well, sorry!

My week was a more enjoyable one. My SIL took over some of my dad's care, we decided we could split up the week nicely. Well, almost, except as of yesterday I have a very nasty cold. Fever, cold sores, chest feels like I'm coughing razor blades, head and neck really hurt but no sore throat and nose isn't too annoying so that's a bonus. Wonder who is SOTW this week? Wonder if they changed what day to do that as last week the former winner was in the spotlight for about 3 days before my pic made it up. Not sure about this new format but guess it's going to be this way. ugh. Not much else to tell. I've been enjoying LOTS of Zelda, always a nice way to waste time. And reading lots of books. Have to get some reviews up on GoodReads later today after I find my notes. Hugs to you both, and hope you get a good storm, wish we had storms predicted, it's just cold dry and clear around here, YUCK!

How are you doing, Kay? I'm glad your computer is finally fixed. I don't know what I'd do without one! Go out and drive the horses, I suppose. :)

Still feeling lousy on this end. Just finished my second course of antibiotics and feeling a bit better. Problem is that as soon as I start feeling a bit better I rush out and start working on all the things I've neglected and that need attention. Too much, too soon, I guess. Next week we're going to the coast so perhaps I'll just be lazy and recuperate. Or maybe I won't be able to resist the urge to hike...

I'm glad Rufus is doing great. The dogs here are all fine. Can't say the same for the fish. We lost a few of the bigger, older, tamer ones. Sad. It was just so cold for so long.

Had such a busy Sat, not sure I've recovered yet. But at least I got a great haircut and that helped my over all mood. And I finally got it through my dad's head that I cannot be there for him 7 days a week, told him I'm taking Weds and Suns off, Sats will be by appt and as there are 4 other family members who can help, he needs to figure it out. I'm exhausted trying to maintain 2 households. Out of the past 25 days, I've spent 23 of them helping him with chores, errands, hospital visits etc etc and well, whew, I'm beat. Mo and I are working our way up to 2.5 miles a day, and we both are enjoying weight loss as well as the walks. She's such a great dog. She'll be getting a bath this Weds, that will make all of us happier hehe. Loki is still such a rowdy boy and so much fun, we all love him so. Goose is a brat, we've always loved her so hehe. I got them a new toy on Sun, from my local pet store, some catnip infused fabric fish shaped thingy called 'Sardines' and the cats spent the afternoon fighting over it. So, I'll get them more today as I'm taking my dad out for some serious shopping. We have to do grocery, 2 pet stores and a craft store so that should be exhausting yet fun. Guess I should catch up on email. Oh, and I'm hoping to get to the ups store this week and get your stuff mailed. I got caught up in stepmom hospital and dad needs and well, the plan is to get things caught up this week, get things boxed and off to ship them by Sat. I cannot believe how crazy it's been and how hard to coordinate time plus money...Jeesh! Not like it's spendy either, just been hectic and chaotic and that's my story hehe. Well, FC did it, they changed us. We'll see how this goes, hopefully it won't be horrid like the other channels that I can no longer find the patience to use. heavy sigh. My finger is doing better, I took off the bandage for the night and am able to leave it off, though I'll cover it when I leave the house as it's still a bit grim looking. Don't want to scare anyone at the store hehe. So, are you having fun catching up on all the emails and blogs you accumulated during your outage? Well, happy v-d to you and Magic Man, hugs, kisses and all that gooshy stuff. Hope you are having a very nice day. so far so good in mine, but I do have lots to do this afternoon. I'm enjoying my Sunday morning. Got Mo walked, cats fed and played with, Loki never stops though hehe, and got some great music on my headphones. Have an orchid show and a class later today, I'm really looking forward to that. Then off to a fish store, possibly also look for a new jacket, my old fave lost it's zipper. After 10 years too, jeesh, nothing lasts...hehe. Loving GoodReads, loving life in general and well, just happy to be alive. Oh, and am saving up for my name change, decided that's what I want for my b-day. Then I can get my website up and get my stuff done without having to change my last name again for all that stuff. Sadly, frozen fog, while quite lovely while it lasts, isn't very moist. Yes, we get dry fog here too. Crazy. I went to 4 different stores today, ugh. got lots of Zelda time in, Mo got a walk, kitties got cuddles, not at the same time, etc etc and whew, what a day. But it was all good and now I don't have to leave the house on Sunday. I started picking up my bff's stepdaughter from school sometime Nov I think, and she's 14 and lots of fun. She's a sci fi geek who is into Doc Who so we have fun chatting about that nonsense. and she LOVES that I give her lots of Zelda time cuz her folks are too strict-in my opinion-so I spoil her much and she is loving it. My kids were/are spoiled too and they are awesome, I get compliments all the time about all of them so I figure I spoil right hehe. And she has gotten a few fish tanks out of me, and I think I'll be giving her the gobi's 20 when I get the 125. Think I may have told you already. I'm running on little sleep, lots of pain and have my game pauses while I goofed on the 'puter while talking on the phone and doing dishes. Think I need to just go game until I'm too tired and can go to bed. Yea, real party animals around here. I'm hoping Sunday to get Loki on video with his antics and noises. Rain envy. At least it's warming up here so ice is melting. I need to police the backyard for poosicles today, they were all frozen lately and well, UGH! I don't want to see them! Speaking of The Mo, the vet called yesterday very happy with her lab results, she's leveled out. Bad news is she'll be on 2 pills a day forever, and her skin condition, while it should taper off, she'll most likely suffer with it off and on the rest of her life. I found an indoor dog wash that carries lots of supplies and only charges 18 bucks for me to wash her in a nice area that doesn't require her going up a steep ramp so she'll like that better. Hoping to get her there this week but might not until next week then I plan on taking her monthly. Loki and The Goose are hilarious, they romp and play and make lots of noise. Well, Loki does. We're going to try to get a video of him cuz when he runs and turns corners, he makes car noises...yea, it's funny cuz when I drive, I make car noises too so bf says there's more proof he's my familiar HAHA. Been super busy this morning, cleaning ceiling fans and putting away laundry. Not my fave things but alas, must be done. That's too bad you have to change your shopping and drag it out, I know what a chore that is! I'll have to hit the petstore again this week. 2 kitties makes for a big need for litter. Loki is a pig too and has learned when I say Cheez&Vitamin, which is Mo's code for meds etc, Loki comes too cuz he likes treats and gets all quivery and chirps at me until he gets one, or so...My furbabies are spoiled. We were really happy to not have to spend a million bucks at the vet, our budget is pretty tight as it is. The cats are getting along much better now. Loki is learning when to leave Goose alone and she in turn, has been playing a lot more with him, chasing him and sharing toys. he's still not sure about Mo, but he's getting a little more brave each day. She's so funny about it too. He's lucky she's such a good dog. I'm waiting to hear from the vet for the lab results, I suspect they'll call when I'm out, cuz that's usually how life works hehe. Mo's neck is doing a lot better and she'll be getting a walk today. We both need it. I just got some valerian root extrac botanical sleep blend capsules, my bff started working for NOW foods just a few months ago so I get lots of perks. Took just one last night and I actually did get some really good sleep. Bf woke up a few times and was surprised that I was sleeping so soundly! Guess they work! WooHoo! So I've been going like crazy around the house today with pet chores, then people chores, all with Loki's help of course. Wow, actual sleep. Glad I didn't take the 2 you're supposed to, I'd probably be comatose haha. My kitties are loving the cat tower thingy my dad gave them, Loki finally mastered getting into it without needed a helmet and padding. He's quite a goof. I think I'm going to make some window perches for them both, some for our bedroom, and for the living room. The house is a boring tract home with narrow ledges so there's not much room for a kitty to enjoy some sun and birdwatching hehe. Well, need to get going, have some more chores to finish so that I can spend the rest of the day playing Zelda as needed hehe. HUGS!

holy cow I babble a lot to you sometimes! Jeesh! So, got a new pic on Gobi's page, while I was out running errands, bf got a pic of Loki discovering there's fish in that tank, and the guppy was apparently teasing the cat! the tank looks bad in the pic, cuz the focus is on the cat mostly, but yea, it's pretty funny. He's having a great time right now terrorizing the old cat, but I think she's liking it cuz she keeps hissing at him but really doesn't swat at him much now. hehe. Mo goes to the vet Friday morning, I'll let you know when I get lab results back about her poor thyroid. I'm really worried about her skin thing, but think it's finally getting a little better. Doc and I will be having quite the conversation this time around as I need to know what we can do to ease it on her neck so her collar won't make it bleed. She's not happy about not going for much walking right now and is quite a pout. My dad is giving us a big cat tree thingy this weekend and a huge awesome clay pot that I've wanted since he got it. Boys are like 'great, always something heavy for us to do on our days off' hehe. They are happy to help though, cuz they're all in love with the kitties, as you saw. Loki's fur is finally getting soft, his cold is gone and he only sneezes sometimes. And his tummy calmed down too. Not sure when he had time to heal since all he does is RUN RUN EAT RUN MISCHIEF RUN and repeat as needed hehe. Ok, enough babble, I'm off to play some Zelda with my zoo. Poor bf is tired of soft foods now. He's going to be really unhappy as a slew of kids are coming for dinner and I'm making London Broils. Poor guy, I almost feel sorry for him, but since I've been trying to get him to the dentist for 4 yrs, I'm not as sympathetic as I could be. Loki is a riot, and I'm having to 'baby proof' a couple of places, but over all he's really not into stuff, he's mostly intrigued by his toys and getting attention. He chatters a lot, you always know where he is as he gives a monologue of what he's up to, it's pretty cute too as he's rather quiet, and makes chirping noises etc. I'd love to see the hair, sounds awesome! It's amazing the amount of fish stuff that accumulates, even after giving a lot to my bro and SIL, I still have more than I really need. Once I get the big big tank from my aunt, I'll be going through and getting rid of all excess everything and getting it down to necessity. Well, that's my dream anyway hehe. I've been busy with mild chores and a lot of Zelda and pet time. Mo and I went to the park around the corner yesterday and she was hurt when a dad and 2 youngsters and a yellow lab were playing and when they saw us they packed up and left. Idiots. I always get frustrated when that happens as my whole life with pets I've always rather assumed on the side of caution but figured if someone is out with a dog and it's running about, obviously it's friendly enough. Who would bring a vicious beast around others, jeesh. anyway, her and I had fun anyway cuz we always do. After her skin clears up more and she gets to feeling better I'll get her out to some of our really awesome dog parks. We have one that has separate sides for small and large dogs, makes it really nice as I'm afraid of Chihuahua's...seriously! hehe. Big dogs never really scared me my whole life. I was still in diapers when I feel in love with Rotties! So, it's grey, cold and chance of snow today. I hope so! Guess I should get busy with some chores and then prep for Sunday dinner and then get back to some Zelda. Both cats helped me play last night...it was pretty funny too. HUGS and kitty kisses hehe.

Loki is living up to his name and we are all enjoying his crazy antics. His cold is much much better and he's hardly sneezing today. My critters all get OptaGest on their wet foods, I wish Vita Cost carried it but I buy it at my local little pet store, they have it cheaper than the website for the product, go figure. Bf is doing better today, now that he's on antibiotics and pain meds. he goes back next Weds for the beginning of getting it all fixed. Poor guy. Loki has been a big help though, making sure he's in good places to nap and staying there for extended periods of time hehe. last night I was in my son's room, he was playing a video game and we were chatting, Loki was on my lap being cute. Then I said, "Loki, go give your brother some mischief, he's been playing games too long" and as if on cue, he jumped off my lap, jumped up onto my son's and proceeded to interfere with the controller so my son had to laugh and give him some attention! How's that for my new familiar HAHA, we couldn't believe it! I did have a bit of a sad this morning, my Bolivian Ram died, so had to fish his carcass out, heavy sigh. We were just talking about perhaps getting him some lady friends too. Well, one less fish to move when I finally get ahold of my aunts tank. Still, he was a super favorite fin, very personable and so lovely. Hopefully I can get several of them once the new tank is settled, maybe for xmas. Well, guess that's about it. I think I need a nap. I agree with cold temps making for better sleeping, aahhhh, I love cool crisp sheets any time of year!

Happy New Year!
Did not have any kitty in mind, I'm always partial to blacks or Torties and female. So we get to the shelter, spy a kitty, look at all the kitties, debate a couple for a minute, go back to this adorable 6mos old male black with some unique white marks, he decides he really likes bf...we get him into a 'visiting room' and that was that, we fell in love. He's hilarious so far, not sure about big old MoZilla, has already tackled old kitty and since he's done it several times and she hasn't killed him or drew blood, looks like he was the right choice. he's pretty much scoped out the whole house already, and has found that my desk is a great place to hang out for attention hehe. I should have video'd him when I first put him on the counter where cat food smorgasboard is...he couldn't decide what to taste first. 3 kinds of wet, a high quality dry and some canned tuna juice cuz I wanted tuna on rye for dinner. He's now got a full tummy and a nice purr. So, that's my day. How was your New Year? Oh, I didn't have 5 duplicate books, only one, some how my database had some from the 'wish' list and we're not sure how they got in there but it's all good now. And I will make it to the UPS store sometime this week or Sat at the latest. I did learn today that I'm very allergic to many many cats in one place, my throat is a mess again and I suspect my voice that is still froggy and rough will soon be gone again. I'm rather bummed too as we had talked about me volunteering at the shelter one day a month or so, but alas, not if it's going to wipe me out! I'm ok with 2 dogs and 2 cats at home, have done that before, but no more than that and looks like I couldn't do it if I wanted to. Mo is enough dog for me anyway, she's like 3-in-1 as it is hehehe. Well, I'm actually getting tired and still have stuff to do before I can attempt bedtime. I'd be up at midnight if I tried to sleep now, ugh! Oh, and still need to feed the sewer tank. Poor starving pigs hehe. HUGS!

so it's a rather white snowy sort of day. It's great! I'm getting excited about Tues, hopefully finding the purrfect furbaby for our home. Been cleaning and getting stuff ready. Jeesh, you'd think it was a human baby I was getting hehe. Everyone is excited about today, we'll be meeting at a local used book store, they're having a huge sale, bring in a paper grocery bag and fill it with used books for only 4.99, so everyone gets a bag from us plus their stockings. And you would not believe how excited they all are about it too! Yes, I know how to make my gang happy for really cheap, they are all singing my praises hehe. Too bad none of us can really sing HAHA. So, my MA will be getting out of the hospital today, she caught a nasty stomach virus and was really dehydrated so I took her to ER on Thurs night. She's diabetic and almost 70 so they hooked her up and got it all under control. Since we've all been sick, none of us visited her, she was laughing about it too. we call ALL the time, not like she's been abandoned but I didnt' even go into ER with her. She was doing fine and very coherent and other than needing a ride, she didn't need anything else anyway. Turns out that was a wise choice on my part. My sister brought a friend to the ER yesterday (and saw MA a minute too) for a hernia that was really bad, today he now has a stomach virus! It's been going around in this area, almost an epidemic I hear. I don't do hospitals, sick people go there! I think my illness is literally overload from too many cats at the shelter. I am allergic to dander, so of course I have furbabies. Benedryl is cheap enough and some sniffles don't really matter, I'm allergic to most things outdoors too and refuse to live in a bubble. Anyway, yea, had no voice for 3 days, the troops here were loving it haha. So, gotta get ready for the big day and dinner too. I'll get that package mailed this week, my daughter needs things sent too so I'll let you know when I send it. Well, stuff for you anyway hehe. HUGS and much luv to all!

Got your card the other day, thank you so very much. This month kinda snuck up and then away from me. I'm too tired to sleep, it's like 2am-ish here. ugh. Not much on our end of the valley for snow, but the south end got hammered pretty good so far. This valley is quite weird weather wise, we're more toward the north end, and there can be such a difference in just a 10 mile stretch! Not like this is a huge valley either! Crazy. I'm really new to goodreads, haven't even seen the sweeps page! I'm currently reading the Iron Druid series, so far I'm enjoying it. Just got done with Cold Days, the new Dresden Files, that was fun. Been busy with lots of books lately, poor Zelda has been so very neglected as a result! Yes, I'll be sending you some new things to brag about hehe. I'm hoping to get it done today, but that may change if the weather gets worse. So far it's not bad in my area, like I said, but the mtns are getting hammered, and we're to get something besides wind here today. I hope so. I'm supposed to do a quick visit with my MA, then am to take my dad out for a few errands but my day should be done by noonish or so, I'll either make it to the mail place I like or I'll get to it on Monday. I'll let you know when I finally get it done. Oh, and bf told me what my big xmas gift is this year, we're going to adopt a kitty! YAY! So now we'll be hitting all the shelters in the area in search of the perfect furbaby to add to our family. I have the bestest bf! Well, for me anyway! HUGS to you and magic man!

How are you doing? I'm sorry I haven't stopped by the past few days. Mama has been so busy and she worked right through my usual blogging time several nights in a row. So inconsiderate!

But she did do one thing right. This morning she finally put up my whirligig! Yep, the one her saluki friend made in my honour. She put it on the gate post to Pippin's pen. That way everyone can see it when they take out the horses or the cars. She didn't take a photo of it yet though because today was too grey and dreary. She'll take a photo of it tomorrow though, dreary or not! Hey, she can always use the flash!

Thanks for the pics, very cute indeed. All is well around here. I've been in 'down mode' all weekend and looks like today will be a slow one too. I go through waves of it, cannot believe how much I slept over the weekend. We got the xmas boxes out but have yet to get anything set up. Kids were all funny though and we had a nice dinner and the future DIL and I got some Dexter time in. We're realizing we're almost done with S6, so we'll have to find something else to keep us busy while we wait for S7 to come out. Mo is doing better and better all the time. Yea, those cow foot leftovers are almost as bad as Lego's to step on, let me assure you hehe. We are also famous for reading until it's almost time to get up again around here. It's part of why bf and I hit it off so well, we're both AVID bibliophiles to an almost scary degree. Our personal library is constantly growing, and we both have old friends we re-read every year. Yea, I remember being out all night too, but I don't miss it either! Well, guess I should finish getting this day going and get those chores done I avoided all weekend. I'm thinking I'll be firing up Zelda later today, it's been since Thanksgiving weekend since I've played! HUGS!

Hello!
had some nice rains, some heavy fog, aahhh, life is good. today the sun is shining but it's pretty dern cold, just the way I like it! Got a company party to go to tonight, mainly cuz bf knows I like the opportunity to get out of cooking and cleaning dinners, so we go, mingle, have some laughs and then are home by 8 or 9 cuz yea, we be party animals like that hehe. Not too much else going on around here, I've been doing a lot of reading this week, read around 11 novels and caught up on some magazines too. Have yet to remember to take the camera to the art room, but it'll happen eventually hehe. I'll be slumping your piece either tonight or tomorrow, hopefully be mailing stuff to folk next week. Hope I didn't jinx it by stating it either hehe. Well, Mo is ready for her walk, guess I'd better get to it before she tackles me. HUGS!
