just discovered you from another setup:). what fun! I love fish channel and try to login everyday. The quizzes are great and I enjoy cruising through the fish experts area. I have books by a couple of them.

dude! i am giving a shot at pleco breeding! i have a 20 gallon with 4 plecos i bought a week ago (my LFS dude said that only 90% of bushy nose plecos are female, so if these aren't i will have to get some more and try again)1 tiger barb, 2 long-fin danios, 1 fully matured albino bushy nose pleco and one yo-yo loach. do you think i will need to remove these when my plecos start to breed, and i also have driftwood and a blueish vase that is translucent, the guy said that they will bread in a vase just perfectly. so i am asking you, the expert, for some advice. if you can stop by my place and give me some tips, that would be great. some other things you might want to know is my temperature is 80-82 degrees and i feed them omega one veggie rounds. do i need to lower my water level, change temp, filtration, plants, ect. also, my LFS dude said that romaine lettuce and zucchini are good. we didn't have any zucchini at the time, so i put the lettuce in. its just lettuce floats, i tried to pin it and stuff, but it wouldn't work. do i need to buy an algae clip? any other help is very much appreciated. question
i have a 15 gallon tank with an anubias barteri and a cardinal plant. and for lighting i have to 60W lamps, one placed on the side and one positioned on the top. i leave the lamps on for like 12-13 hours. now i have this massive algae problem. there is this rough algae, like sandpaper all over my tank. i tried to get it off by rubbing a towel over it, but it turned my water really really really cloudy-green. i need some help identifying what algae this is and what i can do to get it all away. any help would be helpful. i was just looking in the aquarium fish int'l magazine and i was just wondering how old do you have to be do enter in a drawing for the Aquarium Fish International, "FishKidz". because i was just looking at this dude that won $50 gift certificate for just drawing a red breasted sunfish. (at least that's what i think it is) and last time the person got a Hikari starter pack thingy with algae wafers, micro wafers and these other sinking wafers for the corydoras catfish species. if you could reply that would be great. thanks a ton!!! =)Come visit me, kibbs 3, kibbs & kibbs 2.

Sorry haven't been on in awhile, yes, Maddie has discovered how fun it is to scare the poor fish! I left the top open when I was feeding them and she jumped right in! Lucky I didn't lose any fish... Left you a vote!Come visit me, Wisconsin tank of glory!.

yeah, my house gets kind of crazy! I mean, we have 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 ferret, a bird, 2 turtles, and a tank full of fish! We even have a farm down south with a couple horses, but on horsechannel it still says Wis. Rapids. Question about FAMA
I am a returning hobbyist after 25 years. I used to subscribed religiously to FAMA. Now I see FishChannel in the FAMA magazine. Can you tell me the relationship between the two? I googled FAMA, found the site and was able to download the past issues FOR FREE. FOR FREE means that somebody else is paying for it, so I will go to the FAMA site and properly subscribe to it.
