I have been so sick and busy that I haven't been here in ages. But, I am back and happy to share some new photos of fish from 2 aquariums in my favorite Chinese restaurant in Port Angeles, WA. These are Koi in one tank, and the fake fish Blood Parrot Cichlids in the other. Poor BPCs, they are pitiful. I feel sorry for them and their twisted mouths that can't move. Yet, I am fascinated by them at the same time! Oh well. Hope everyone is well. My fish are ok, I lost my big Clown Loach and 2 Cories but I am still keeping on. Thanks for all the comments. pam

hectic life!
well, we start getting the move underway today to our new home (well, new to us) and the excitement is barely containable. Moving my 55gal tank is my biggest issue, ugh! Lucky we aren't going more than about 6 miles away! So, am wracking my brain but I just can't figure out what JRT means. I am usually much better with tla's but must be all the moving excitement making my head spin! Well, better get things started around here, they are predicting a bit of snow for Tues...well, at least it isn't like moving in summer's heatwave!

Been a Long Time
Gosh, it has been so long since I have been on here. We lost a lot of fish when we had to move from our farm due to a foreclosure. We also had to get rid of a lot of our horses. Then, our puppy died of cancer. Crap, how sad. Anyway, things are looking up and we still have 1 aquarium, the 55 gallon. Of course the fish that lived through our move were the 6 goldfish who are now big enough that if I caught them at the lake we would consider them keepers! The fish listed in my profile are the current ones that made it. Have a great one e1!

New Fish
Hi, I haven't been on for a while, trying to find a job, lol, yah. Anyway, I got 2 more fish for the 55 gallon. My husband and I stopped at our LFS cause I was looking for a clown loach since we have a massive snail bloom and thought that would help. And, there were 2 big ones for $50.00. So, we talked to the owner and it was a case where a fish tank owner's 4 yr old granddaughter fell into her large tank and broke it. Most of the fish died, but these 2 giant clown loaches survived. He offered her $20 for both and she took it! Wow! So, now we have these 2 fish, one 4" and one 5" or more! They fit right in and are happy with all the live plants, rocks, driftwood. Happy day! My tank has really taken off the plants are growing so much! I have some kind of weird hairy algae on my giant hair grass, but, otherwise it is great! Happy Holidays! Pam

Lady Betta
Well, I ended up taking the Lady Betta out of my 5 gallon bedroom tank and putting her in the 55 gallon living room tank. Bob the Betta was chasing her so much, her tail was getting frayed. That is no fun for her or him. Now she has tons of plants to hide in. The little male in the 55 is a calm chap, he doesn't chase her at all. At least not yet. Have a happy day!

Thank you, everyone, for your understanding and patience. You are about to see me at it again! Medically I got bad news in several areas so will have some treatment and possibly surgeries. I am still realllly tired and lose focus, I guess because of the pain, meds, exhaustion and no appetite; have lost a ton of weight (like that part!!) but - moving ahead!! Yes, did manage to keep up with the tanks, with help from my store guys, so they are all looking good. Yep, killed off the equarium fish a number of times, pooh. I may not be on every day but I WILL respond to your blogs. As you can see, I am writing everyone from the Discus tank as it is easier. Will post new pix of the revamped Kitchen tank which has 3 little Discus along with Cardinals in it now and is beautiful!! Leaving votes for each! Thanks again, Kerry ps- you are as bad as I am with all of your changes!!!!

nice tank
I like how you show the procession of empty to filled. Nice stand too, never saw one like that. Gorgeous fins you have though if I may be so bold as to suggest several more neons, they are a schooling fin for sure and look better in a group. For the snail population, when you see little ones on the glass just squish them and the cories will eat them up. I have many snails for all the puffers and have to do this a lot! I also just got a clown loach who has done a great job of working his way through the snail buffet! Hope you had a good weekend!
