your brown fish looks like some kind of convict. but most likely a south african cichlid. how did you get it? i love figuring out mystery fish although sometimes its really hard. >(<') Come visit me, Container Pond, Three's Company, Scuds, Little fishies, Fig the Gourami, Pond & Where the Wild Things Are.

RIP
Sadly the Buffalohead cichlid we call Papa Fish suddenly died. Im not sure why since he was doing fine, and everyone else is fine. But maybe he was lonely since his wife died and we sold all his children to a LFS. There were just too many to keep. But now he is in fish heaven with Mama Fish.Come visit me, SwimFish.

Thank you for the comments you left for me. I was really trying not to go too fast on the tank, but, I guess I still jumped the gun! Anyway, I did a partial water change. I say more in my comments. Anyway, the fish in your picture looks like a green cichlid. There was an article about them in Freshwater and Marine Aquarium magazine. Hey everyone..thanks for the comments. I enjoy checking out everyones set ups. I was wondering if anyone could identify the brown fish in my pictures on the bottom left. I have had it for about two years and it has not grown any bigger than what you see. It is quite shy around other fish and is not aggressive. My Geophagus chases it around occassionally. It has darker brown stipes going down its sides. Come visit me, SwimFish.
