Hi Sarah! I've taken the opportunity to read some of the comments on the blog and (as I take it) you've given up on keeping fish and gone with growing plants. Is that correct? Allow me to add my two cents (if I may). There's nothing wrong with having just a planted tank, and I tend to like the photos you have of your planted tank! There may be a fish (or a few of them) in each of the featured aquariums but, check out the tanks, the emphasis is on the planted tank: http://www.latimes.com/la-hm-aquascaping-pictures,- 0,3757517.photogallery, http://www.plantedtank.net/, http://naturalaquariums.com/, http://www.greenleafaquariums. com/planted-aquarium-gallery.html These are just a few of the many sites for planted tanks. I'm just starting to dabble in the world of planted tanks myself. I find it quit a challange myself. I'm very familiar with gardening and plants, but terrestrial, not squatic. It's definitely another part of fish keeping (or not), but just as rewarding when things grow right! I, too, have been keeping fish for the better part of 40 years, with MANY lost fish along the way! Which ever you choose to do, enjoy it to the fullest, and good luck! We could all use some of that! Hers's a vote for aquatic PLANTS!!! |
