Plants Java fern really is the plant you only buy once, as for the crypt it was the first plant I brought as the guy in the LFS said it did well in a low tech tank but don't think I have seen it in there since. It did the normal crypt melt and the fish snacked on it for a while and actually destroyed most of it. I happened to rearange the tank a few months ago ( for the java fern) and the crypt all of a sudden re-emerged and is doing well. The leaves have a nice green/red colour to them but the fish still like a nibble on them as well so guess they taste good.
