not really sure !!! in regards to the different colors of the lights all i can think of is that there is to different kinds one is compact and the other is 18 inch dont know why that makes a difference in color but it might have something to do with the background thats the only other thing i can think of the fish seem to be just fine under the 18 inch light i guess we'll never know it must just be one of those things left vote cul
