Howdy Rick,
I just passed by Tamara's blog ( Spaz ). I'm So so sorry to hear about your Dad. As hard as it is. I think you're right. Your Mom's health comes forst now. In time I think she'll forgive you? You have to remember, your parents have probably been together for Decades? Your Mom is on the defensive because the Man she's spent most of her life with, is losing his. She is fighting to defend that life against all comers, Even Death itself. Right now...NO ONE can tell her that she shouldn't fight because your Dad can't anymore. It's the Human Spirit to survive, the love of all the years they've had. In a way, it's giving her strength to Fight Fight Fight for him. She probably realizes that she's losing her Husband, Your Father, Your kids Grandfather but her Heart tells her to defend him, protect him with every fiber of her being. You're right too, it's time to take care of her needs now.She'll realize that too one day I think? Losing a mate can be unbearable but Humankind has that survival instinct built in. I can tell that you Love your Mom and Dad just by what you've said. Patience, Compassion and of course Empathy. My Heart goes out to your entire Family.
