FYI on Paradise Fish A bit of information - before getting the Paradise I read about them and they are very hardy fish. In the 1800's (sometime in that century :) it was mainly goldfish and paradise fish that made it into the US across the seas in a ship. They can be kept with or without a heater and are not limited to soft or hard water. The problem with them however is they can be very territorial and you cannot keep them with fish smaller then they are or with another male paradise fish. Some people have been successful in communities but much depends on introduction and/or temperament. They are lovely and very inquisitive :) Thank you for visiting that tank and hopefully I will upload pictures soon.
