Well, I got carried away. Sorry! What I wanted to say briefly is, set flexible training goals and enjoy the process. When things don't work out turn to something that does and then go back and try again. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that the positive consequence of working with something familiar will put your horse in the right mood to try something new! We usually have too much snow this time of year too but since I bought sleigh runners for Pippin's cart we haven't seen more than a few snowflakes. We figure that next year we'll buy a toboggan and enjoy another snow free winter. The year after that? Skis… Leaving many thanks and a vote.
