Thanks all. As far as the driftwood, I have not had any problems with it. I believe it is a special kind that leeches and turns the water yellowish for a short period of time. I know I have read about it in the forums, but I personally do not know much about it. As for the betta, no problems with him and any of the other fish. The biggest issue is his fins occasionally get nipped at, but for the most part its peaceful.
