hectic life
sorry it's been so long, I have a house full of company and didn't even realize I missed FC for 2 days! Not sure that's happened while I was home, ever, in all the years of being on site. UGF. I really like them. If you do your water changes with a gravel vacuum, then you already know how to clean a UGF, it's the same procedure. The only thing is to remember to change out airstones once in awhile. Most things tell you to do it every month, I've never had to but will inspect them when I clean the tank to see if they are slimy or wearing out. Usually they last several months. Great for adding oxy to the tank, and helps keep that film that can appear on the waters' surface. Have always used one, even when I had a salt tank and that tank was up for many years, until I had to move and tore it down. They aren't fancy, but quite easy to use and well, I've always had one so guess I'm rather partial to them. How goes life for you? I'm looking forward to Sunday when all company will be gone, and I will only have a quick trip to the hardware store to do and then will hibernate the rest of that day hehe. |
