oh, that word
well, it was more like what happened in A Christmas Story with Ralphie hehe. Funny enough, thanks to that little incident, I not only am off to get some needed supplies from the homedepot/lowes (which ever will be closer while I'm running errands) but will have to grab another can of primer as I have a new little bookcase that bf scored from his office that is the next project. The first project is not quite done, but not do to lack of trying. Turns out I need a different brush than the ones I have (dernit, have to get a spendy one but at least it'll last me years), some super fine grit sandpaper & a different type of clear coat. I normally use a satin finish but it's not working with the metallic glaze, you can see (cheap) brush strokes & it's a bit milky soooo will sand that off like normal but get a true clear coat to finish the next 3 coats to seal it. That is the worst part, all the sanding & re-sealing multiple layers, but it's only 4x so not too painfully boring. The other bookcases turned out really cool, the satin worked quite well. It is INSANELY windy here, I HATE when it's like this, can't sleep, grrr. Guess I should stop wimping out and try to get back to sleep, 6am is coming up quick! Wishing you a splendid Thurs!
