Well, on Saturday we got 4 convict cichlids, and already the biggest (think it's a male) has claimed the entire fake log as his and will chase anyone to the other end of the tank if they so much as dare come within 3 feet of "his" log! There was one proven pair at the Petsmart so we got those two, and then the next biggest one, and then one with orange on its belly. Hopefully, we struck lucky with 2 males and two females. Or maybe... 1 male and 3 females would be better. Dunno. Fun to have "real" cichlids with actual nipping going on. I still think our sweet timid little angels were cute. =^.^= Little shy sweethearts.
I put a clean coffee mug in the tank to provide some rest from the big bad convict with the log, and the BBCL's (big bad convict log) former mate at the petstore sort of claimed it as hers. That leaves two poor smaller (actually the aforementioned female is the smallest, but chunky) convicts to be chased from end to end. (the mug is at the other end of the log) Now comes the naming part. =D I've been kind of thinking the big one could be Louie and the female May, but I'm at lost as to the other two.Meh, the new pic didn't work. The tank looks TOTALLY different than the profile pic. If it STILL hasn't changed, an overall tank pic is at the bottom of the Narnia page. |
