Hiya!
Howzit chiner? That’s how we say “ how are you, friend?” We’re chiners right? Sorry about the long absence. Hope you’re well dude. So what did you decide on? You were not sure of what you were going to get the last time I heard from you. I have a suggestion if you like. Seeing that it is a small tank I was wondering if you would consider small Tanganyikan cichlids like multis or other shell dwellers. They’re pretty cool fish, although they do peck on plants, though fast growing plants won’t really be a problem. The crayfish are also an option. Seeing that it is legal in your country, you may be wise to do so. We South African aquarists are banned from keeping any freshwater crustaceans like shrimp or crayfish. We have native species and the fear is that we will let exotic species into local rivers and cause an ecological catastrophe. There are several fish that are banned as well, like snakeheads, certain killie fish are among those that are banned species. Its spring and its already so hot. The sun in Africa is quite intense all through the year, but summer it is sometimes unbearably hot and humid here where I live. Its during summer that the tropical cyclones and great storms arrive, well no sign of them yet, its still the dry season. Dry season during winter here, the fields go dry and just about everything looks dessicated until the first rains arrive at the end of September. But from now until they do it will be hot and dry. Well chiner, do take care and be well! Cheers! Stokes
