betta! since the gouramis passed on, all that were in my tank were the bottomfeeding corys and algaesucking otos. I love them to bits, but it's nice to have some movement up top too, so I added a single female betta. she was freaked out at first (10 gal is a lot compared to the little cup she came in!) but now is very strong and confident... and one of the biggest female bettas I've ever seen!
