Greetings!
Good question, no I don't mind. In a lot of our in land rivers, the waters are colder than in the north east and eastern rivers. In the Vaal, Orange, and other inland rivers, there are lots of carp, big catfish, lungfish, mudfish, perch among others. In the north east and east the rivers are considerable warmer and in addition to the catfish, lungfish and carp species, you could also catch perch, tilapia, mozambican mouthbrooders, tiger fish and blue kurper. the catfish are particularly large. American bass has somhow landed up in our rivers and are considered invasive. Trout has been introduced in mountain streams in the drakensberg, maluti mountain range stream. Fishing is great, especially for tiger fish and catfish. Coastal fishing is also lovely. We have many species of shark species, the most famous being the great white, but there are many species. We have more tropical game species on the east coast, like marlin, eastern tuna, kingfish and rock cod. ANd then on the west coast, galjoen, steenbras, kabeljou, snoek, elf, mackerel and cape salmon.
