Hi
My lights are closing in on almost a year so I ordered a couple of Iwasaki 1400's. They were pricey but seemed to get better ratings than most of the others. I don't mind paying a few dollars more for quality. I should shield for awhile after putting them in right? A happy belated Valentine's day to you and Barbara. We spent ours at Jack's son's wedding. Okay so here's how it went.....Imagine you were a princess and you had a wedding. That's how it went! There were incredible floral arrangements at the church. She was late by about an hour so everyone was getting worried. There was a fancy carpet train or whatever you call them rolled up the isle for her to walk on and rose petals scattered on it. She had a gorgeous (and very expensive) dress with a long train. Jack was bushwhacked because he ended up in the wedding party escorting the groom and no one ever told us that was going to happen. It was even printed in the program and they never even warned us. I sat there by myself with all my friends, lol. I didn't know a soul. There were photographers and videographers and a choir. So we got through that then had to find our way to the reception at a Crowne Plaza which is quite glitzy. Then she had the pictures taken there in a private function room for nearly 2 hours while guests were fed hors derves. We were out with the other guests then were fetched to be in the pictures. I was beside myself! If we had known they were going to do this then we could have prepared better. We looked like Mr. and Mrs. Frump. Everyone else was in gowns and tuxes. Then to top it all off we were announced into the dining room with the wedding party after all the guests (about 200)were already seated and staring at us. I thought I would die!!!!! Then we had to line up on the dance floor as a backdrop for their first dance. When we got to sit and eat eventually was the best part of course. Filet minon and grilled jumbo shrimp. Champagne at every table and roses everywhere. Roses are so expensive this time of year. I don't envy them paying this all off. We gave them $500 as a wedding gift. We were spared the torture of having to do a dance in front of everyone. They kind of had to fast forward everything because of her tardiness at the church. They were on their fancy cruise today and plan on moving into an expensive apartment ($1200 a month probably not including utilities) when they return and buying all new furniture for it. I wonder how they plan to pay for all of this? They had said what they didn't get from guests they would put on a credit card. I think there's going to be a rude awakening from this princess dream. Only poor John will end up bearing the brunt of it. Not too practical when neither of them has a pot to piss in! Well my friend, time to go. Oh, I'm sending a copy of the magazine to Brian when he e-mails me his address so don't put the pins away quite yet, lol. I'm sure you'll hear from him.
