Hi Nep
That is pretty impressive! They may have all the book smarts and alot of experience but you're still just as good as they are! I can't believe they make themselves available 24 hours a day. They must have dummies like me calling at all hours day and night. I piled the rocks back up but they just don't look the same. He does that again he may end up in a fry pan. I'm pretty sure he squished my blenny. Haven't seen it since the slide. Now my Seaclone protein skimmer isn't skimming and I just cleaned the whole thing out a week ago. The pump is working and I keep adjusting the O2 flow but no skimmate. It's the second one I've bought that's crapped out. I'm real limited as to space between the tank and wall. I think with tax money I'll get a new one. What do you think of the Remora AquaC's? They're narrow enough to fit. I also wanted to ask what kind of salt mix do you use? I was told by a reef store I should be testing for magnesium. I though that if you did regular water changes mineral stuff like that would be replenished. I have been using reef crystals. Should I change or is it okay? Back to your potential job change, have you mentioned anything to your boss? Do you think he'd be willing to give you a temporary leave of abscence for a few weeks to a month (or do you have enough vacation time) and try out working with Gil and Michelle to see if it's something you may want long term? Get your feet wet, pun intended. If it's not for you or the salary won't pay for the kid's school tuition and feed the wife and fish, back you go. I got the impression your boss likes you. Maybe he'll even offer you a big raise to stay! Like you said, opportunity. Time for birdie medicine which is also known as torture the cockatoo time!
