Hi there
Save me some of those frags buddy! Keep em proliferating. I have just been feeling like crap. I really haven't gotten much done at all. Just getting to work and back has takes it's toll. I'm feeling better though. Lots of crap going around. Seems like you just start getting over one bug when another smacks you while you're still down. Nice ice storm this morning and I decided to stay home. Looks like I dodged a potential bullet too because there were so many accidents on the news. The cars were encrusted with about a half inch of ice. Since I have to leave for work at around 5:15 AM, I just couldn't deal with it. I called my boss and asked if I could work a different day instead. I didn't feel too bad because we had no cases on the schedule today anyway. I didn't want to do a hundred mile round trip on ice to do nothing all day. He didn't mind. I have the longest commute out of anyone else who works there. I finally got to do a tank water change. My poor tank creatures have suffered and I feel bad. I ran out of mixed water and the tank's running at about an inch below normal. Boy was there alot of mineralization at the bottom of the mix barrel which is 30 gal, even with two powerheads running all the time. We usually keep topping it off so it hasn't been at the bottom for a long time. I dumped the last 5 gallons because it looked so cloudy and gooky. I cleaned out the barrel but couldn't get all the encrusted sediment out. I'll have to use it all up and rinse out the entire barrel much more frequently. Just noticed that my bumblebee snails are holding another union meeting. They do that every now and then. They all get together in a group and huddle for awhile then go their own ways. Strange. I don't think they're breeding because they aren't increasing in numbers that I can see. I've got some little conch snails though that came in as hitch hickers that are breeding like rabbits. Thanks god they're really small. Enough blabbing for today! Take care.
