tis the season
well, we got all of about 6" of snow yesterday. Of course this desert town about did itself in as they cannot take more than a few inches at a time...I came down here from 15 yrs in snow country (Lake Tahoe, CA), and have lived in Alaska as a kid and bf is from N. Dakota so really, this is just a minor annoyance to us haha. Of course, you up there get real snow. I kinda miss it but I don't miss shoveling now that I am old and lazy. House hunting has been a riot and I am amazed at how nasty some people live. I hate going to places still inhabited cuz YUCK I don't want to see your ugliness! YIKES! have one serious contender that is empty, and gonna take stepson to see it and one other new on the market one this weekend. Thrills and chills around here let me assure haha. Been watching tons of crazy movies, I am a fan of foreign and indie flix as well as, well, movies in general. My kids are used to subtitles and its funny cuz now we have a hard time watching any movie w/o them. Of course, now that I am getting blind as well as deaf I need all the help I can get. Got glasses coming in the next week or less (less I hope) cuz it became apparent I can't see spit far away. At least reading is still no effort. Good thing since I power down the books too. Whew, guess I am bored, sorry about that! I know what you mean about no energy to want to do a new tank. You are still going through so much, it's hard to get things back in perspective while grieving. Glad your fins and kids are well, that's always an ease to the mind. We have stepson till the 3rd and he and my son have been having a ball. The dog is in heaven cuz they take him out several times a day so in between he snores so much can't hear the movies sometimes (more proof of the need for subtitles hehe) and well, we all realize that old pup really is getting old. He is an easy 13, and rather big (I'm too lazy to pick up a small dog haha) and wow, his face is so grey this year, can't even tell how much black used to be there! Kinda like me, I see my roots glaring at me like a tinsel reminder that I too am no longer a teen. Who knew it would come to this haha! Well potatoes won't peel themselves if I want to make them into pancakes so, have a peaceful week and a wish for a quickly mended heart. |
