Hello
Thanks for stopping by my platy page. Once the fry start growing a little, like maybe a couple weeks old, they will start getting a hint of light gold. They color out at a gradual pace. So the older they get the deeper orange they get. Mine are Mickey Mouse, and I was thinking it took about 6 to 8 weeks to get the face to show up. They take a long time to raise up to adult size. I set up a tank just to raise fry in. I have 50+ good sized young ones. But they are several months old. I was going to raise them for my fish store. Until I realized how long it takes to raise them. They are pretty predictable on the delivery date. Just about every 30 days they will have more. I have lost all my adults. So I am just waiting for these juveniles to grow and breed. You have a very nice looking tank. Here is a vote.
