I read in a magazine that putting a betta in a community tank is alright as long as there isn't another betta in with it or that the other fish don't have long fins. The magazine was Aquarium Fish International, April 2007 edition. The only fish I had that fought were the rainbow sharks. Now that there is only one left that isn't a problem.
