hello
and thanks for stopping by, no not really, ponds are a great and have a beauty to themselves of a nature quality, so the main thing is how big do you want to get involved with, the best advice i can give you is this: go with the biggest situation size for a pond you will always wish you had went larger when your done, two ways of making a pond work is check you local area frost line when you find out usually go a foot deeper than that so for example if your frost line 12inches you may want to go with 24inches and deeper for better results, the next step would be what size or galloons, of course if you go 50gal you are only going to be succesful with two small goldfish maybe four but that is pushing it, i went with a 1000gal pond my frost line is 18inches so i went 4 feet deep and i have about 10 goldfish and if you want koi you will have to go really big, but heres the fun part you get to dig it out and design it yourself a cool situation, you could use those preformed inserts but you have to dig the right amount out so that it will fit, i use liners from my local pet shop, all i had to do is dig it the way i wanted and drop in the liner anchored with creek rock around the pond and coolness i have a pond, let me know what you think so far i will go into more detail on filters and biological needs, heres a vote..><}}}">
