Hi!
Hello again! I missed the post you left on the discus setup page. Sorry to hear about your pond’s pump, that is a lot of money for a filter, but you got to admit they are really expensive these days. Its what has kept me from having another pond. I had a real small pond outside and we were thinking of expanding on it, but the costs of the filter and trhe actual set up is quite high. So are you going to catch salmon, here’s wishing you net many! Salmon is such a wonder especially rich in highly unsaturated fatty acids, I especially love it on toast and salmon paste too! Man that is quite some distance and with the recent hikes in the fuel price. I guess you have to do what you have to do. It sure sounds like you are on the brink of securing a brood, once you do have the hardness problem sorted you will have many pairs for mating and potentially you could some up with good specimens of popular breeds, so you can sell them and make some money too. Yep, there’s a lot of wildlife out here. These days I must admit we rarely see any of the animals we use to at my house. We had meer cats, jackals, small buck, caracal and snakes a plenty. They seem to have disappeared deeper into the bush. I quite admire the rattlesnake of America, they have always intrigued me. Perhaps it stems from watching too many Westerns! My friend keeps poisonous exotics like rattlers and taipans, among a host of other lethal snakes. Snakes have always fascinated me. Well, here’s wishing you get the opportunity to visit the Motherland, whether here in South Africa or Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, any country you’d like to visit! Take care! Cheers! Stokes
