just curious, Hiro from SnowCrash fame for the name? speaking of books, I did a lot of research before setting up the brackish tank (I am an AVID reader and research is my life it seems) and the book I adore and recommend is a newer one that perhaps your library could get as it's spendy, called Brackish-Water Fishes (an aquarist's guide to identification, care and husbandry) by Neale Monks. It has so many fish and ideas and is quite fun to read as well, not like a text book of blah blah but entertaining and amazing with information.
