powerhead yes i do have an airline running into my powerhead from my co2 reactor. The powerheaad im using has a venturi device built into it(powersweep by zoomed) w/ a place to plug the line in, and yes i find it to be just as effective if not more so than the stairway. the bubbles that are produced are VERY small. so much so that they take as much as 30 seconds to reach the surface, even though the output is only a few inches from the surface.
