hello our frost line here is 18 inches and my pond is 4 feet deep well enough for a cold snap and usually my pond doesnt freeze over in the winter with a floating pond de-icer, and my fish stay in the pond all year long and hibernate for the cold months and actually i let the pump run all year long as well, but i could understand why you would remove the fish in that they would become fishsickles, heres a vote my friend..><}}}">
