Discus are a bit more 'difficult' than most other tropical fish, but I kid you not, a lot of discus keepers have started out in the hobby keeping discus. Not everyone is that lucky as many hobbyists can attest to losing many of them for obscure or unknown reasons. But I think that if you follow a few simple rules, implement a few controls like quarantine and UV sterilisation, it actually becomes quite easy. They are finnicky feeders, but they will eventually accept good quality flake, bloodworms and brineshrimp. They will also eat most ox heart preperations, though I do not like feeding them that. And they need a higher temp than most others. All things considered, I think you could keep them successfully too. Have a lovely Christmas! Cheers! Stokes
