Hello!
I had to get out hoses yesterday and water here! Jeesh! Crocus are lovely, the few that I have, some myrtle bloomed too, surprised me, and have tulips popping up as well. The grape hyacinth are quite happy with the weather and the iris are looking like they are going to be quite lovely in a few months. We'll be due another nasty cold snap though, it never fails, and then spring will finally be here. It's been rather cloudy lately, but mild temps and possible chances of rain. I hope it does rain, but I'm always hopeful for it! I'm still busy with my dad, but it's getting a lot better, we're getting time frames worked out. My stepmom went into a nursing home yesterday, she finally got a bit better in acute care so we'll see how long she stays in the home. My dad doesn't think she'll ever come home again though. Loki is still into mischief and learned a painful lesson last night. After I got dinner on the table, he did his famous prowl on kitchen counters and stove and well, he learned that flat cook tops really are hot after use and so far today hasn't gotten on that counter or gone near the stove. Good, I've been afraid of him getting really hurt. As it is, just his right front paw got a bit of a scorch but no blisters and he's not limping this morning, running around like a crazy kitty actually and his foot looks normal and isn't hot like it was last night. Little goofball, he has to learn the hard way, like most boys! He enjoys 'helping' me with chores, but he does not like the vacuum. I've never owned a pet who did but know of several who enjoy it. animals are such strange people hehe. Well, send that snow this way, we could sure use it! |
