Hello!
Well, I've had a whirlwind week and it's only Weds morning. Last week it turned out I had a food poisoning, yea, well, at least I lost a few pounds and they've stayed off hehe. Lets see...my stepmom is hopefully going to a great rehab center this week, she might actually get to come home in a few months if she keeps going like she is. She's a strong, independent woman who I generally like a lot as well as love. I am running ragged though, and there will be some changes in scheduling with my dad as I cannot be on call 7 days a week for him. I have a sister and brother and a sis in law who are all willing and able to help with his 'needs'. He's really needy. wow. Anyway, I decided I wanted a good homemade corn chowder on Mon so got all goods out and was just finishing up by slicing some matchsticks of parmesan/reggiano hard cheese to then dice when I kinda almost dozed off or just left my body or something when I was rudely brought back to reality by discovering I tried to take off my left index finger tip at the nail...so there was my blood sacrifice for the month, so says my bf. Yea, OUCH. But it's doing well and I'm hoping the nail tip will grow back correctly. Didn't get any blood in the food, but I'm not entirely sure where the fingernail went. Good thing I wasn't cooking for guests or I'd have to hold a 'prize' contest for whoever recovered my much loved and miss nail piece hehe. Then ATT had an area wide internet outage, so for over 30 hours we had no internet. OMGosh! I had no idea how much I really NEED internet! I almost needed therapy to cope! Mainly since without my finger I couldn't really play my video games either! THE HORRORS! hehe. Loki is fantastic, we sure love him and his antics. He is one most hilarious cat, never had one quite like this guy! I am waiting for some elk antler things to come in the mail for Mo. Coupaw has been a pretty nifty thing /I got into a few weeks ago, have scored some really great deals for the very spoiled fur babies and saved a bunch of money which is always a good thing. Weather is cold, clear and dry, had to do a bit of outside watering yesterday and will have to do a thorough job over the weekend if we dont' get any moisture. I'm finding typing with a fingertip bandage is rather interesting, wow. At least it only hurts if I really bump it now instead of the constant annoying throb of Mon-Tues. And I like decorating the bandages cuz well, I get bored hehe. Need to get busy, have a million things to catch up on both internet and house needs and most importantly, get ready to take Mo for our daily 2mile walk. Yup, we're up to 2 miles and loving it. I make time for that above all else since it's good for us and it's a needed time for us too! HUGS to all, get warm, healthy and enjoy winter, soon we'll have spring and all the chores that go with! Oh, and so sorry to hear about the fishes. Extra hugs for you! |
