Hello!
I have enjoyed my overly busy schedule lately but am looking forward to a break! The storm hasn't done much where we are but I think we're in a bubble as all around us has been getting lots of snow. The mtns especially, my son says it's crazy up at Incline and all around the lake where he works. South of us, like 10 miles or so away also got lots of weather, my bf drove most of the way home on his commute in 4wd....but once he got to our little area, no need...crazy. He only works about 12 miles from home, not very far. So, last night he told me what my 'big' xmas gift is, we're going to adopt a new kitty! YAY! So next week we'll be scouring the local shelters for the perfect new furbaby for our family. Mo is gonna love having a baby, she's such a nana. My sister calls her Mo-Nana, after Nana from Peter Pan hehe. Anyway, been too tired to sleep lately, which isn't a good thing, but it'll all balance out soon, it always does. Have some errands to run later this morning but then should be done and no need to leave the house other than to walk Mo and perhaps go to the humane society and the other shelter nearby. I've been getting some decorating done. My sister loaned me her fake tree, never did one before. it's not too bad but I think I'll not want to do it again. I like the real thing way better. We'll finish decorating when the kids come for Sunday dinner. We're not doing Christmas until the 30 anyway, so no hurry around here hehe. Having so many of us coming from split homes, it makes holidays kinda interesting, but since I really don't care what day we all get together for whatever reason, I don't mind letting all of them go enjoy their other family and then I get to hear lots of great stories and enjoy mine at a more leisurely pace, which is better I think! Mo is still getting better on her meds, have to get her next appt made soon and then she shouldn't need to go back for a year. I hope so, this is kinda spendy, especially this time of year. We all agree she's more than worth it though! Well, I'll be in touch soon by email, and sure hope you and the furbabies are having a good weekend, one with less water in it! It's time for snow! |
