water I have the salt right away and let it airate for about 8 hours I noticed a cumulation on the lid but so I started leave the lid off thinking that whatever evapourates is going back into the water. I've tried to feed the scallop but closes up everytime and when Im able to get something inside it, it will spit it out. I will do some research on feeding and see what the best solution is.
