Wow!
Wow, a technical question, I am tickled. You know when I first got into this site, I was dying for some of that kind of specific stuff. But the conversation always steered toward the weather or other hobbies, horses...etc. which is great but... You know what I'm saying. Ok, I have 3 10,000k and 1 actinic 420nm Coralife bulbs that are on 8 hours a day and two Coralife actinic 420nm that are on one hour before and after the daylights cut off. Also, I have the actinics running with the daylights at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day. To clear any confusion, and keep in mind that I have never had to put this into words, but here is a try at a time schedule. Because of my schedule I had to change all settings later in the day, so that is why I start so late. 3:00pm-2 actinics come on. 4:00pm-3 10,000k and 1 actinic lights come on. At this time, all 6 bulbs are on. 5:00pm- 2 actinics go off and only the 10,000k and one actinic is on. This is the setting for the majority of the day. 11:00pm- the two actinics turn back on that have been off most of the day. Now all 6 lights are back on. 12:00am the 10,000k and one actinic turns off. Now only 2 actinics are on. Then at 1:00 am the remaining actinic lights shut off. Oh, and I have a 15 bulb/diode LED that comes on a couple of hours before and after all the t-5's are on/off. I started out with the settings that the name brand "Current" had suggested in the owners manual, which was less lighting to be brief and not so complicated. But, I can honestly say other than the coraline taking off like a rocket, with my setting, there has not been a big change in the coral growth or look etc... after the change. Let me know what you think, and if I goofed somewhere or you can't understand also let me know. By the way, my pics are nowhere up to date. I'm on an IPad and can't change the settings. When I get access to another computer and make some updates, I'll let you know as some changes are good and bad! Those dang jumping diamond gobys!!! |
