Hello!
got another mint in the ground, put it out front last night. Bf and I talked about just doing mint and lemon thyme under the front window, and then I'll get planter boxes for the window and along the someday path we'll put in. I decided just some green that smells nice will be a better option than my original plan. Especially since once the grape arbor is built, I can do hostas and bleeding hearts there and enjoy them more. So far all newly planted babies are doing really well. I still have 5 iris to plant, 2 more blue mist and 2 more red hot pokers, but need to get some more dirt this weekend first. We are adjusting to not having old dog around, my son is still taking it kinda hard but he's not interested in another dog. He'll be moving out within a year anyway and knows we don't want 2 dogs again. I have to admit I'm liking only 1 dog to feed and clean. Didn't really think about how much work old guy was until I now see how much work he really was! Weather is awesome here, house stays cool all day and then nights are chilly so won't be using a/c much at all. I'm still hoping we'll get rain, we might tomorrow actually. I'm gonna see about sacrificing some steaks to the rain gods tonight hehe. I'll get some pics out later to you, I'm in the middle of digging etc and so nothing is worth seeing yet. Which reminds me, gotta get out and get another pile bagged in the back yard before the heat gets to be my excuse hehe. How fun to travel some more, we haven't gone anywhere in a few years now, been too busy with the house. I look forward to getting the Jeep out for a road trip though, my SIL and I are planning one to her family property this fall and Mo can go enjoy 5 acres all by herself for a few days. She's gonna love that! Well, hugs and cold dry kisses hehe. |
