Whew
So, the office was really touched when 6 of us show up to send up old dog. There would have been more but my brother broke down and couldn't do it. I think my old dog saw more people this week than came to see the prez when he was here a few days ago! Stan is that loved. The vet office was super too, very caring indeed. I cried more than the kids, except maybe my son, but yea, there we were, me, daughter, son, bonus son and his gf and my wonderful nephew. wow, that was hard but we sure are glad he's no longer suffering. Hopefully he's already met up with the great dog I had when we first got him, her name is KC, and I suspect Tiny was there to greet him too since I talked to him about her and told him to look for her too. Ok, on to other things. Grabbed some dirt and mulch stuff so Sunday morning I'll be out digging and planting the new stuff. Need to bag up some leaves/debris but think it will all go into one 55 yard bag. And need to rework my paver path from the patio to the potting area. Bf was totally thrilled to have to unload the 4 bags of super heavy stuff...he was going to come see Stan off too but since we already had so many, I let him off the hook. Originally it was just going to be he and I, but then all the kids at the last minute decided they couldn't not go. I am truly blessed to have such great kids. Too bad I can't get them to help me landscape in the morning...I do admit to having satisfaction over hard work and enjoying the results. So, how has your weekend been? Did you finally get the coon wars under control or are you still having to water most of the night? |
