Hi!
Just returning your visit and checking out your tank also. Thanks for the nice comments. I appreciate it! i worked very hard to get it all together over a long period of time. For many years I had a 40gallon setup and last September (Labor Day sale at the LFS) I bought the 75 gal tank, stand and canopy. I built shelving (almost lost the tip of my left index finger to the table saw), added lights to the inside of the cabinet and ran CPVC piping for the supply & return lines for the canister filter, I used hard plastic lines for the air lines also (flexible tubing where needed) I used aquarium sealant to secure the hard tubing into the rear corners of the tank, making them practically invisible to the eye. I built my own spraybar on the return line and installed an in-line heater (works great!) as well. The canister is so quiet, I can barely hear it running and it is very efficient also. I have a variety of Dwarf South American Cichlids, Tetras, Cory Cats and a Dwarf (clown) Pleco. All are doing well! I'm always on the lookout for rare dwarf cichlids (apistogrammas), and others. I'm 57 yrs old, and have been keeping fish for the past 40 years. My user name Pisciculi is latin for small fish (the more the merrier...and the smaller they are, the more I can put into the tank, sorta!)

What variety of betta do you have? I like the Delta & Half Moon fin types; and find the color variations amazing. I just wish they were a little more peaceful. I've never kept any of them, because I don't like the idea of "solitary confinement".

Well, I'm gonna cut it short, as it is getting late and wake up time comes waaay too early!

Take care (left you a coupla votes!)
