Hey Rochelle I was steered away from the German blue Rams. they are very hard to take care of. I got the bolivian rams. Not as pretty but they are hardier fish. They get along with the other fish pretty well. But never place two males in the same tank. One will harass the other one to death. The owner of the LFS told me how to tell the male from the female in the Rams. The males have a sharp pointed end on the back of their top fin. The females top fin is rounded off at the end. My favorite fish is my Mini gourami. Beautiful fish and full of personality. You should get at least 2 or three more Neons. they are happiest and feel safest in a school. I purchased my plants at a local pet store so not all of them were listed with names. But I have three sword plants, three Anubias and some Java Moss. The only ones I have noticed the snail and the Angelfish nibbling on are some kind of runner plants. Don't know what kind. And I think one of my ghost shrimp is carrying babies. You can see them under her tail. Hope this helps.
