Hi Rochelle, sincerely hope you are well. Its been a long time since I last wrote you and a lot has happened since then. My daughter was signed up at a government school but we decided to remove her from there and put her in a private school. I also had an accident about three weeks back. I shall be getting my car back tomorrow. I'm also on leave from work which has been nice so far, I am at home trying to catch up with life at home and especially my aquaria. Kansas City you say, is it anything like Iowa? I have relatives that have settled there some years ago. My cousin is a doctor in Iowa City. I watch a lot of National Geographic channel and the one thing you have there are bears. They can surely be dangerous if one is not careful. Another impressive animal that hails from your parts is the bison. Yellow Stone and Yosemite look mighty impressive. I would love to see them someday. most of our parks do not allow feeding etc, but its nice to sometimes feed monkeys, baboons and ostriches without someone hassling you about it. In Cpe Town for example, feeding of baboons are prohibited, they have become such a menace plaguing the tourists. Antelope are very skittish. in the veld one needs to come up wind and creep up on them from behind real slowly. They spot you and they're off. HIV is killing people and leaving the children to the grandparents who then look after them with the little state pension they get each month. I am quite shocked to hear about the crime and violence there in your city. At least people do not burn others for witchcraft in your parts. witch hunts are still the rage here, but then you actually have people who practice that stuff. They sometimes kill people and especially albinos and kids for human parts for use in muti, which is the spell. These kind of murders are called muti murders. Our schools are much the same, and that is why my daughter will attend a private institution. I think the problem is widespread. for one thing corporal punishment at schools is banned and back when we were in school, we got wacked for all sorts of misdemeanours. Kids have little or no respect for authority. Also no youngsters are being forcefully enlisted in the army like before. That instilled discipline in school leavers. Last year we had two armed robbers hold us up. Lucky for us they only wanted cash anmd valuables and were not bothered about hurting anyone. Your 10G tnk sounds interesting, would like to see it sometime soon. Otherwise the weather has been rainy, but hot and sunny too. The rain usually arrives in the afternoon and usually is a thunderstorm. It clears up and the sun comes out again. Its rather muggy and humid too. Flashflooding has already caused problems in Mozambique and northern - north east South Africa. Damages were pretty intense in Kruger Park, where several American and Canadian tourists were flown out of there by copter. Admissions were not allowed all of last week. The crocs there must have had a feast what
