I'm glad to hear from another discus lover! Thank you for your kind compliments, you have q mighty fine setup yourself. Forgive me I am not familiar with the Sticks. I reside out in Krugersdorp in a small town, but work in Northern Johannesburg in Gauteng, South Africa. The water is pretty good though borehole water and well water is quite hard, so I use tap water and condition it with peat. I use a trickle filter and an internal UV steriliser which works great to.eradicate diseases and parasites. How was Xmas? I had a fun weekend out in the Magaliesberg, fishing on the Crocodile River. There are few Crocs if any in case you're wondering. I almost shat myself on Saturday night when I took a stroll to the long drop and saw pairs of eyes staring at me and then charged off in the opposite direction. It was a fe kudu and zebra lucky enough. We have some great discus during the festive period, most of my fish originate I'm Hoedspruit,SA or Israel, funny enough.Israeli discus are superb, pretty expensive too, around $40 Or R300 For a juvenile those like my larger ones are around R2000. So I buy them small. Otherwise do take care and have a lovely NEW years day! Cheers! STOKES |
