the sewer tank is just what is looks like, all fake and crazy so I don't worry about plant eaters. Actually, I never do, the only live plants I have are Java moss and fern and those grow quick and reproduce fast so it's never been an issue with either of my clown plecos in the 55. Besides, they all get their algae wafers a few days a week plus Emerald Entree is part of their regular diet. does your LFS feed the fish live foods so you'll have to wean to frozen? Interesting, most only do for a treat, not as a regular diet since most folks buying don't use live. I keep trying to get live worms from our one LFS but I don't normally get there on the day of shipment so by the time I arrive they are either out or have killed them already. Worms are tricky to keep if you don't rinse them daily! One of these days I'll set up my own worm station and grow my own but not until I finally get that big giant dream tank going. Besides, the family is already creeped out by the foods in the fridge and freezer, and they aren't ever too fond of a tub of live worms too, much less several hehe. I tell them it helps keep them from overeating, but I don't think they believe that. My son's face when I chop the krill for the dragon is hilarious, but then again, I don't touch the crickets or meal worms for the gecko so guess we all have our pet food limits hehe. |
