Happy Holidays!
Hi Rick! It's been a while and I have to say that I wish I was able too spend more time on the computer and this site keeping in touch will the great people that I've met online. I'm not sure if you are aware of the fack that as I was wrking on the cabinet /stand for my newest aquisition (a 75 gallon tank), I managed to make contact between the dado blades of my tablesaw and the index finger of my left hand; (thankfully, I'm right hand dominant). It's been about 2 months now and the flesh has almost grow in; and it's looking much better than it had when it was first done. It will most likely be numb for some time to come yet but, hopefully, in time it will get better. I have lost some movement in the finger as well but again, I'm hopeful for improvment over time.
A belated Merry CHristmas to you and your family. Hope all is well and everyone is happy and healthy. As you can probably guess from reading the rest of this, it has been extremely hectic around here. I took the week before Christmas off from work so that I'd have time to make some long needed repairs to the kitchen cabinets, decorate the house (inside and out) and prepare to make a dinner for 7 other members of my side of the family (not including my wife & I) on Christmas Eve. Surf & Turf was on the menu (a roast of beef tenderloin (that came out fantastic) and baked shuffed shrimp (with homemade seafood - crab meat, lobster tail meat, and bay scallops - stuffing), mashed cheddar cheese potatoes, a green bean, carrot, onion and bacon medley & bread. Appetizers consisted of a platter of various cheeses, soupy & crackers and homemade crab cake (balls) (they were quite the hit!)
The wife and I also made Christmas cookies (about 8 dozen) & fudge for desert! Everyone had a good time!
