the convict parents will defend and even kill anyone that comes near their babies, but with a 55 gal tank they should be able to stay out of the way of the parents, when you feed them you might want to put two small feedings at each end of the tank so all fish can get food, and a side note i dont see to much in the tank on hidding spots you might want to consider a few more big rocks to break up the aggression zone and keep an eye on the other fish as for the parents will beat them up, sometimes badly, once they breed there is no stopping them they will breed over and over again, you will have more fish than you know what to do, you might want to call around and see if a pet shop will take the babies when they get older from you as when they are big enough and the parents have more babies which they will, they to will get beat up if they dont get away, congrats on your new family of fishes, heres a vote and happy fishin..><}}}"> |
