I had to run my dad on several errands and to a doc appt yesterday and while I was gone bf got all tv and other electronic fluff all on one main remote finally so had to show me a few things and then we spent time enjoying the POWER of one handed remote device fun hehe. Oh, and tell your son girls don't snore. According to my bf, we purr...hehe, yea, he's a keeper. I generally have several books going at once, mainly cuz I read fast and like to try to savor the ones I really like. Currently I'm reading Ghost Story by Jim Butcher, Down These Strange Streets - a compilation of short stories, and Chaos Walking. We are major sci-fi fantasy adventure fiction buffs and I am a huge Vamp/Were/Zombie/Supernatural etc fan. Bf watches more movies of that nature with me, he really enjoys ZombieLand hehe. And we read a lot of history. I don't do war things unless it's of the alien attack or other fiction type wars. And I have a cookbook collection, and many very old books, lots of Shakespeare, etc. Oh, and LOTS of art books, whether art history or of the how-to nature. My wall I did purple is currently just the purple. It's a big one too, goes from the family room into the kitchen, with a sliding door and has a garden window over the kitchen sink. I only did to the cabinets though cuz we'll be remodeling the kitchen in the future and I see no need to climb up a ladder for over the cabinets when it's all going to become cabinets. I think this is stormy night, or it's antique purple. I have 2, one is darker and that one is for other projects. I mixed the darker with a pearl glaze and will be stenciling a quote over the sliding door soon. It's a fave quote of my bf's from a Dresden Files character...Life is a journey, time is a river, the door is ajar by Butters. HEHEHE, we found it fitting since the pets keep that door in a state of open/close and partial all the time. Bf says he's more of a doorman than the man of the house hehe. I'm fortunate that my family tolerates my little eccentricities when it comes to color and art. I have a best friend that I've literally known my whole life, her mom and my mom were best buds since 8th grade. She's just a bit older than me and I just adore her. I do have a few other very close friends too, but really narrowed down my world of the drama queens. I get tired of all their self induced bs and then expect me to agree with their actions when things go wrong as I predict. Yea, sounds snobby, but I'm talking about ones who go to bars and bring home strangers regularly and then whine when it becomes a mess. Ya think? I can understand once maybe, but as a hobby, it's not my thing. Well, and we don't like bars, we only go rarely, generally to see my brother or my cousin play in their bands. We remember being young and well, those are nice memories, now we like to be home with books, movies or whatever whim I'm currently inflicting on the family for projects hehe.
